Vinyasa style yoga classes (sometimes with music) in YM has you working exceptionally hard without moving a muscle. You will be encouraged beyond your present limits physically, mentally and emotionally to move your whole body as one unit, with no contraction, with no isolation.
Unusual and fun movements and guidance takes you deeper than you thought possible into yoga postures that are hidden in every expression of YogaMonks, an expression which at first glance may not look like classic hatha yoga.
Pure asana is rarely taught in open classes. We encourage some years of vinyasa style daily practice before we introduce holding postures for longer than 1 minute.
